Review content:
i have been to Pix 3 times. Each time the service is horrible and on the latest try the desserts were all stale. Regarding service, you are asked to check out the display case then sit down and someone will take your order. That is if they do not forget you. It takes then 30 minutes or more to even take your order, regardless of whether they are busy or not. The staff, with the exception of the bakers seem very slow and surly. Even the owner seemed annoyed that we wanted to look at the desserts in the display case a scond time. I simply do not understand why one would choose to run a public business in this manner. One our first trip no one waited on us until a new staff came on and he asked if we had been helped. The also ran out of macroons once while we were there, which was frustrating. One our second visit we did get to try them, and while very beautiful they were also too sweet. We had raspberry ones and myself and my friends could only detect sugar. The St. Honore cake was good in parts, but the caramelized bottoms were burnt! One good note: The rosemary ganache tart with port reduction was great. Also, the place seems to be, well, dirty. Fruit flies in some of the display cases and the wallpaper looks dirty. This place seems to be getting worse, so I recommend you pass.
Pros: beautiful looking desserts, creative tastes on the palette
Cons: service, decor, attitude, lack of passion
