A little over two years ago, I started searching for a new church home. Made a list of churches within a given area, with the goal of visiting each in turn. Never got past the first ? the United Church of Christ of La Mesa. The warmth of the welcome, the sermon, the compatibility of the progressive theology with my beliefs and the amazing range of activities , both ?in-house? and in the broader community spelled ?home? to me.
