First of all let me start off by saying that several negative reviews of Carpinito were somehow removed by him, although they were legitimate. The negative reviews on YELP were more abundant, than that positive one's, though somehow Carpinito has managed to have them removed.
I went to Carpinito for a straightforward cleaning nothing more and nothing less. I even brought my own up to date x-rays. Carpinito insisted on doing more x-rays. Carpinito then sent his Hygienist away and stated, that he would do the ""cleaning"". Carpinito then after a 20 minute cleaning escorted me to the Receptionist and I was handed a bill for over $900. I was then called a couple of months later by Carpinito's Legal Rep Mandy L. Spaulding from Attleboro, Mass. who told me, that the price is so high because I had a scaling done? I did not have a scaling done. Carpinito has placed on my credit report the amount totaling $1,033 as of December 2010, through the company Capital Recovery Systems.
I have placed complaints against Carpinito with the Attorney General's Office in Boston and The Professional Health Licensing Board. Carpinito Legal Rep wanted me to sign a statement that I would pay $600 and that Carpinito did not mishandle this case. Though I did not sign this, as Carpinito did mishandle this case and there is possible Medical Malpractice in this case. This case is now going to the Small Claims Court. There are plenty of good Dentist's out there, though this cannot be said for Carpinito who must think that people are either naive, ignorant or simply stupid about the cost of dental care, when it comes to the work performed.
