Review content:
I found about Zaidi's by reading a review in Naperville magazine. The restaurant is towards the southern area of Naperville, which is off the beaten path a little if you're coming from the city (Chicago), but well worth the trip. As soon as my wife and I arrived at Zaidi's, we were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The restaurant was very busy, which is all the more reason to make a reservations. We started our meal by ordering their signature cocktail, The Geisha. To say it was great would be an understatement. Zaidi's offers a large selection of Sushi, both traditional and exotic. We decided to start with Toro-Sake, which is a tuna roll that is covered in salmon tartar and an avocado sauce. My wife also ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque which she said was ""to die for."" I opted for the Mojito Shrimp Salad (another winner). For my main entree, I ordered the pan roasted Alaskan Butter Fish. I am not big on fish, but the couple at the next table over told us we had to try it. So that's what I ordered, and boy was it amazing! My wife ordered the grilled pesto marinated shrimp. It was the most beautiful dish that I have ever seen at any restaurant (too pretty to eat - but that didn't stop us). I was served with a mango/black bean/avocado salsa. I tried one of her shrimps and all I can say is that's what I'm ordering the next time we go back to Zaidi's. By the time we got to dessert, we were both pretty stuffed. But after looking over the dessert menu, we decided that we couldn't leave without trying at least sharing one of the selections. We ordered tropical carrot cake, which was fantastic. The service at Zaidi's was phenomenal. The owner (Mr. Zaidi) even stopped by to see how everything tasted and to make sure that we were happy. I can't say enough about Zaidi's other than it's our new favorite restaurant and I can't wait to go back. If I could give Zaidi's 10 stars, I certainly would.
Pros: The variety of the dishes and the incredible sushi
Cons: None that I experienced - just a little off the beaten path
