My wife and I have been majors customers for many years and until last night we would visit about 6 times a year. In the beginning everything was very good, the steaks were great especially the Majors house special 24 oz. ribeye. The sirloin was my second favorite with their prime ribs a close third. We have observed a decline in quality of their meat over the past year but last night was ""THE END"". We took our 2 grandsons, 9 &7, there for dinner as they like Majors. I tried to select a steak from their meat display and everything was loaded with fat and grizzle. I could not believe they actually had that meat in their display case but there it was. I decided to go with choice #3 and went for the prime rib and my grandsons ordered and shared the same. My wife decided to forgo the fatty steak and went with pork chops for the first and last time. I ordered a baked potato which was the smallest potato I have ever been served in any restaurant. My wife had the same and her's was equally small and our grand sons had the fries which were very good. Both prime ribs were loaded with fat. Maybe we had 6 ounces of good meat in each steak but it was done as ordered and tasty. My wife said her pork was dry and tough. The up side of our last dining experience at Majors is our server was friendly and did his job well. I do believe the regular customers are getting tired of inferior food as last night was a Friday, in July and it wasn't too long ago there would be at least a 30 minutes wait. Last night, no wait, no line, empty tables... It sad but I guess it's their way of compensating for the bad economy. Unfortunately I feel: To compromise the quality they were known for is to give up what made Majors great. They are no longer great, in fact they are no longer decent. They are bad. Pros: Good beer Cons: bad food
