First off I would like to respond in the defense Of the new owner of Reed's. A post below titles him as Rude New Owner. Well this is just not the case. Mr. Carr is a professional and has many years experience in the photo arts. I am sure the woman below was just stressed and having a bad day herself.I will have to say that Mr. Carr was just miss read.Oh and lets take a look at the date July in the Hamptons Please woman get over it. you and all the rest of the visitors need special customer service. You have to wait your turn sometimes! Maybe you were double parked who knows anyway, Reed's is a Very busy shop. They offer services that you cant find on the east end , everyone uses them. being that Mr. Carr has recently become the new owner I am sure he is slammed and maybe that day was so busy that no one had the time that that customer was really looking for. I know that when it comes to selling used equip. that you almost always have to leave your stuff to have it looked at and appraised. I know from experience that Reed's Photo holds the highest in standards in all the work they offer. If you are looking for a lab to take care of your art work and photography needs the way you would then Reed's is the place to go. Your not going to find under paid uneducated employees at the counter. Reed's is staffed with professionals who truly love the photo industry and who really know what they are talking about. This in turn can cause a problem with people who think they know it all such as the poster below. If you come in with an altitude your not going to get far. I have worked personally with Mr. Carr and he is one of the most helpful people I know. He has thought me so much and I am grateful to him for this. He has the patients of a saint and is an amazing teacher. He is a master at his art and has so much to offer to his clients. Don't be steered wrong by one bad post.
Pros: Pro Shop all the way staffed with people who know the Biz!!! Shop looks great friendly folks
Cons: At times very busy. I have seen a line in the past that goes out the door :)
