Review content:
I used to go to this theater quite often when it went by the name of ""Crown"" because of the good matinee values (prices went up under new management, but they may still be slightly less than some other nearby theaters). Just last weekend I went there and when I came out, my car smashed into with items stolen (thousands more in damages to the car than the items were worth). Theater management were unresponsive and would not even lend me a broom to clean out glass from the seats. As I left the parking lot, I realized what a poor choice I made. There were other parking spaces with constellations of telltale broken autoglass indicating that break-ins are common there. The manager confessed that his car was also broken into there. Other bad signs were the people going to this theater with tinted car windows, loud rap music, and trash littered everywhere. Hartford Police weren't very interested either - my guess is that they have a lot more serious crimes to deal with. This experience shows how important it is to be alert to one's surroundings and avoid problem areas. Strangely, I actually had an uneasy feeling before going into the movie but I ignored it. Next time I'll trust my instincts. I am grateful that at least I wasn't hurt. Going forward I will definitely be happy to pay higher ticket prices for more safety. Good Luck! Pros: Prices are a bit lower Cons: Car break-ins, lack of safety, and bad neighborhood
