What a jewel on this gritty stretch of E Burnside. There are so many good restaurants in Portland that I am too busy trying them all to return to many, but I just went here for a 2nd time & it was good. It's unpretentious but special. The food is creative, fresh and delicious. I've had equally good food elsewhere -- but at twice the price. I like the service -- not overbearing or pushy, but friendly and attentive -- it's a good place to go with someone you want to enjoy a nice time without staff trying to turn 'em and burn 'em. Wine recommendations were knowledgable and spot on. This is an urban place, and small. Small groups, party of two -- Everyone who is lucky enough to eat out in Portland has their special place. This is mine. Pros: Food, wine list, service
