My wife and I have lived in Hixson, TN for a while now and just not made it out to the local Vietnamese restaurant Old Saigon. I've never had Vietnamese food before, but my wife's South East Asian Cultures Professor said it's the most authentic he's had.
What a great experience! The service was great. The lady who seems to own it and do a lot of the work herself was fun and personable.
The food was great. Simple, yet flavorful. The spring rolls were the best we've ever had. The mango and sticky rice was not only unique but beats out the local Thai restaurants. We got the pho (pronounced fa) for our entree and once we made it a bit spicy and mixed it up it was just delicious.
They also have a great selection of Asian beers.
I'll be going back. A lot.
