Review content:
I recently dined at 1705. This was definetly the best steak in town. Being a bit of a ""foodie"" I like to go out to the new hotspots. I was extremely impressed with the entire experience, from the minute we walked in untill the minute we left. No attention to detail was missed. The hostess and Manager at the door were very nice upon our arrival. The service from Jaclyn was exceptional, and the wine list was the best I have seen in Raleigh, maybe even the state. There was no overpriced wine selection that no one would buy, as you tend to see in other high-end establishments. I had a party of four, so we decied to try as much as possible. The lobster fingers were my personal favorite, and the table loved the crab cake and tartar. But by far, the steaks were the best part. I love the fact they ""dry age."" I have not seen that before in raleigh. The ribeye filet and prime cap were excellent, they were cooked to perfection and well worth the price tag. The sides were good - everyone loved the sweet potatoes and creamed spinach. At the end of the meal the manager, Patrick, said hello and asked how everything was, he was very nice and very professional. He made us feal at ease, unlike some of the stuffy resturants in town. We were so stuffed we did not have dessert, but can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this for any occasion. It is well worth it. Pros: Service and food Cons: Parking
