This was by far he worst experience of our lives!! We called and set up an in home estimate in order to get a guaranteed flat rate. Joe shows up and does a walk through, gives us a binding estimate and then on the day of the move.....what do you know, the price had jumped over a thousand dollars. Sound like you have heard this scam before? They show up, you have no other choice but to pay them because you have to be out of the apt that day so you pay. Our binding quote from Joe was now almost double the cubic sq ft after their movers finished their part of the scam, which we had no choice but to accept to get our home moved. Fortunantly for us, the movers they sub contracted our stuff to, 3rd party, ended up delivering our furniture and gave us the accurate sq ft. They had delivered...lo and behold it was the original sq ft. from the binding quote. Needless to say I called and spoke to Abraham the owner and Joe about this and once I finally got a hold of them, they told me to quit harassing them or they would press charges. Finally after about 3 months of fighting and the threat of getting an attorney involved they had no choice but to refund us some of the money they owed us. In addition, we had payed for extra insurance provided through M&M and we had damages. We contacted the insurance company and they told us that at that time, until M&M took care of some outstanding issues, they would not be taking any more claims. Needless to say, if we ever move back to NY we will not be using these guys. I normally do not take the time to fill out reviews but my wife and I thought this was too important not to say something. Do yourself a favor.....save your time and energy and choose a more honest and reliable mover.
