After you've visited the lab for your cholesterol test, this is the place to confirm that you have not been eating healthy. The place has been in the same spot for years and consistently serve the best milkshakes/malts around. The shakes at In N Out burger joints are awful, but this is one of my favorite places for shakes besides the coffee ones at Mel's Diner. It's thick and full of malt flavor. I've always favored their fish square burgers over McDonald's handsdown. A greasy fried fish patty over a thick bun with lettuce, sauce and relish. The onion rings are inconsistent. Usually thick and crispy, a recent trip was disappointing because the rings tasted processed, like at Burger King. The fries are crinkly cut, but frozen type, so In N Out wins for authentic fries. The 1/4 lb burger or hot dog specials are the best bargain as they come with fries or onion rings and a shake for under $9. They recently scored a perfect 100 from the food inspectors in 12/07! There's counter space for a handful of diners and 2 tables inside and 2 outside. Pros: Malts and shakes and beef burgers are very good Cons: limited dining space, fries
