Review content:
A true northside fixture, the Chicken Box delivers on the promise of greasy delicious fried chicken, gizzards, onion rings and an assortment of seafood items. All this - plus the pleasure of ordering through plexiglass with holes drilled through it and a pass through system to get your order (which is cooked to order every time).
The Big Chick is the sandwich to go for here - a big chicken breast, cheese, lettuce and their secret sauce (which is pleasantly spicier than most 'secret sauces').
Everything here is fried, so this is NOT a diet friendly establishment (unless you get a cup of water).
Prices are great, servings are big and it is worth a trip to Highland Park to check out this neighborhood landmark.
