So I took my car in for a brake job. I had read terrible reviews on these guys, and heard bad things about them from my friends, but they were conveniently right next to my work, so I decided to take it in for a new brake job. I did my homework online the night before, so I would have an idea of what it would cost. They called me back and quoted me $1000 (when it should have been about $400). I asked him if there was any way of making it lower, and he said that he would give me the ""military discount"" even though I was never in the military. This made it $25 cheaper. I then called Les Schwab and they laughed at me when I told them what Midas quoted me. They said that they would do EVERYTHING for $425. I called Midas back and told them to give me my truck back, and then he said that he would do it for $425. ALL OF A SUDDEN they are willing to cut the price in HALF as soon as I threaten to take it elsewhere. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE OR YOU WILL BE SORRY
