I never was here myself , as I do not live in west haven, but up in southbury. but recently , I had looked this up for my girlfriend, whom, like me is transgender MTF and soon hopes to get her name legally changed[ and later on, hopefully, her legal gender to female upon her CT driver's license] . with me, I showed up in the gender of female, dressed really nice when I had my hearing in southbury,CT probate court. and so, I will let y'all know more later after she gets around to doing her own name change and such. I have a feeling that if conservative, 90% republican southbury was easy for me; then I am sure that west haven, way more liberal and very democratic in politics; will even be easier for her. all in all, the process takes less than a half hour to complete and then, you walk out with the name that fits you best! MORE LATER!
Pros: LARGER, MORE OPEN MINDED CITY SO MTF NAME CHANGES SHOULD BE EASIER.
Cons: I'll let y'all know when my girlfriend finally gets to her legal change of name.
