I own a rental home in Montgomery Texas. The tennant contacted me about a water heater leaking into a small 3X8 closset soaking the carpet. I contacted the insurance company and they requested that I get a carpet extraction company out to remove the water ASAP. I contacted ZBest Carpet AKA Rodger Courts or Montgomery Texas. A few hours later he sent somebody out and pulled back the carpet and placed a fan in the closet and disappeared. We finally had to contact him multiple times to show up and pick up his equipment. We had asked him to coordiate with the insurance company as to working out the estimate for this extraction and possible cleaning of the other upstairs carpets. The insurance company requested a quote and Z Best returned a Quote of over $700.00 to extract water from a small closet and replace the padding etc. The insurance company Travelers would not to accept his quote and I would not accept this either, so there should have been NO authorization for any of the services he attempted to bill for. ZBest continued to bill us for $700.00 for services he never delivered. The only activity preformed by Zbest was to pull back a small closet carpet and turn on a fan. Clearly not a $700.00 event, not even if performed by an attorney. ZBest continued to try to hound me to pay this price for their and incomplete services. I referred them to the insurance company as it was out of my hands. In the meantime, our closet was left in a wreck, no new padding, and the carpet was left for us to lay ourselves. I warn all other consumers that may come into contact with this company or this individual, to beware and do not trust him or his company to provide honest or reasonable services. My house was left in a wreck and we had to seek services from another PROFESSIONAL to clean up after the mess that ZBEST made.
