Review content:
Tresca had a rough start, slow service and food that didn't quite stand up to their prices. But I had heard that they had a new chef. The new chef is outstanding and really turning things around. Food quality, consistency and quanity definately surpass their new prices. The wild mushroom ravioli apetizer is mouthwatering. The house salad dressing made me want a 2nd helping. I had the chicken marsala and the sauce was perfect, the rissotto just right and the chicken moist and tender. Topped off with a great Washington Merlot. The owner said they were bringing in more local wines. Then the dessert!! A beautiful creation of grilled peaches, vanilla mousse, puffed pastry topped with a spun sugar tower. mmmmm, mmmmm. The other thing I noticed was a small town local friendliness, people stopping to talk to each other, everyone chatting and enjoying a local musician - the owner of the music store down the street - a sprinkling of laughter. The owner wandered table to table to greet customers and check on quality. This place has made a 180 degree turn. I'll definately head back again. This time I want to check out that lamb dish I saw served at the next table, it looked scrumptios!
Pros: Great food, great atmosphere!
Cons: It's a small place and people are starting to hear that it's improved
