CUSTOMERS BEWARE: Wisdom Structural will not finish a job that is started!! The owner will keep your hard-earned money and NEVER return your phone calls when you call to ask when the job will be finished. My elderly mother hired Wisdom Structural to fix her home which needed structural alteration because it was built in the 50's. The main reason my mother hired Wisdom was because her front door would not open which is a safety hazard. In addition, she is handicapped and needs to access her front door (like most people). Her property was damaged by workers & subcontractors with saws, cigarettes and overall carelessness. The workers actually had a better attitude than the abusive owner, Scott. My mother asked me to step in and help her because Scott, the owner, would not return my mother's phone calls. He came to my mother's house and actually physcially backed me into a corner while yelling at me all because I was questioning what ""work"" was being done. I thought Scott was going to physically assault me and so did my mother and the witness I asked to be there because I had a bad feeling about Scott. Thank God I had the forethought to invite an independent witness to view his aggressive behavior towards me. Scott refused to give my mother pictures of the ""work"" that was done under her house. She asked for pictures of the ""work"" 8 times and he would not provide them to her. We have called and called and called asking for the job to be finished. He will not answer the phone or call us back when we leave him a message. We have been trying to get Wisdom to finish the job since 2008. My mom even hired an attorney to write a letter to Scott telling him that he needs to finish the job because that was the agreement. He responsed with a rambling letter that made no sense and accepted NO responsibility for the fact that the job was never finished. He actually said that he never received any phone calls from us. ARE YOU KIDDING?? Too much Game Playing. So, I finally called the City of Tampa Zoning and found out that indeed, NO FINAL INSPECTION WAS EVER DONE!!! Wisdom Structural NEVER finished the job and took my mother's est. $9,000 because Scott felt he could easily steal from an elderly, handicapped woman. Scott's immoral & unethical behavior is utterly disgusting. Now, she is left with a door that still does NOT open (2 years after hiring Wisdom) which is the whole reason my mom hired Wisdom to begin with. So if there is a fire, flood, or any reason she needs to get out the front door, she can't. Not to mention, if family or friends come over they can't come in the front door and have to go around to the back door to enter the house. My mother does not have another $9,000 to pay another company to fix the front door. She is still paying on the $9,000 she paid Scott for Nothing. Of all of the difficulties life has thrown my way, this is one of the most dispicable actions I've ever seen a company do to a customer, much less an elderly woman who paid $9,000 for a service and received nothing. Scott, I truly hope your mother is never taken advantage of the way you took advantage of my mother. DON'T HIRE WISDOM STRUCTURAL!! There are plenty of ethical structural companies you can hire without having the horrific problems Wisdom will cause you and your family. Why make the costly mistake we did????
