Review content:
This review is actually more motivated by my desire to respond to the unfavorable review posted by someone who had an unfortunate experience at Reno's with ONE salesperson who might or might not even be there anymore. My experience with this business has been very positive. I believe that sales people have a tenuous line to walk between being sufficiently helpful and interested in the customer's needs on one hand, and being pushy and overbearing on the other hand. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) not all people are alike, and as such, we all have unique expectations of sales people. What one person considers overbearing, another might consider helpful. What one considers as allowing the customer space, another might perceive as uninterested in him or her. With all that being said, my experience with Reno's has been totally satisfying and pleasant, both on the phone and in person. I was just there last night at a Taylor Road Show, and I found the staff of Reno's, as well as the Taylor people, just as helpful and friendly as always. After the Taylor presentation, I was trying out some nylon-string guitars. It was rather noisy due to everyone else playing much louder guitars in the main part of the store. One of the Reno's sales people came to me and offered to let me take the guitars I was interested in and go into a closed room so that I could hear them better. Staff members would check on me periodically to see how I was doing and to answer any questions I might have, but not once did I feel pressured, nor did anyone make me feel as though I was a bother to them. It is a fact that on average, people will tell 14 others about a bad experience and only one about a good experience. Here is my attempt to even out those averages a bit for an establishment that I believe merits great reviews!
