Let me start off by saying that I am a huge foodie. One of my greatest pleasures is dining. One of my closest friends has been a chef at restaurants the likes of the Modern, Blue Smoke, Rosa Mexicana, etc. I have dined in a multitude of restaurants over the course of my life; some with great service, some with poor service, but never had I experienced such abrasiveness and overall lack of regard for its patron?s happiness as I experienced last Saturday night. While I acknowledge that for the most part, the service in the Hampton?s everywhere is not great due to tremendous volume, it was the attitude that accompanied the poor service that drove me to write what is my first negative internet posting. Let me highlight for you a couple choice phrases from the Owner "Pierre" himself: "We don't substitute, that is our policy" "If your wife is burnt so badly, tell her to go to the hospital" "You guys were trouble from the start. This is my restaurant and I should have kicked you out." "I don't care where you have eaten or who you know in the restaurant business. Tell anyone what ever you want; get whom ever to write what ever they want about my restaurant. I am Pierre and this is my place, please don't come back" Charming standup guy this Pierre is. He would be crucified if this restaurant was NYC. There are plenty of classy eating establishments in the Hampton?s to frequent. PLEASE DO NOT GO. Pros: Nice artwork and ambience
