I ordered shutters from this company because it was a kiosk in COSTCO. Yes, that reliable company who ALWAYS stands behind their products. I could have gone with Home Depot or Lowe's or any of the many other plantation shutter companies, but I chose Elizabeth Ashley because of the Costco reputation. Well Elizabeth Ashley shutters and all their affiliated companies have filed for chapter 11 as of October 4, 2007. I paid the company almosts $6000 for our shutters. We are still waiting for the last shutter. Is was order March 29, 2007. They rescheduled 4 times. The last time, they mentioned having trouble but assured me that the shutters would be delivered. I called to confirm and they are in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Another reason why I chose this company was their LIFETIME guarantee on their shutters. Where do I go now??
Pros: Quality of shutters (if they ever install them!)
Cons: Bankrupt and no more lifetime guarantee
