I have lived in astoria for years, so I pretty much know the best places to get pastries. They have, hands down THE BEST almond cookies anywhere damnit. They are soft and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Scrumptious. There fruit cheesecakes are creamy and yummy, and their brioche are lovely and lemon-scented. It is nice to get a cappuccino and scone or cookie and chat. The only cons are that the cakes are a bit expensive, but they are always very good and fresh. This is not a place where one sits down and orders however, and the place is small with very limited seating, but most people come to order their pastries and go. Lovely italian pastry shop that has been in Astoria for years.
Pros: Fresh cakes and tarts, great coffee
Cons: Small, so not much seating.
