Review content:
I am writing this review to warn others about The Shoe Lab in Topanga Canyon Mall. I recently had a pair of Prada loafers shined and restored there. They charged me $40, highway robbery, I know, but I was in a pinch. I have never paid more than $10 for a shine and I am from NYC where everything is supposed to be more expensive. When I got the shoes back they were badly stretched because the incompetent employees they have at Shoe Lab forced the shoe trees back into the opposite shoes. I could hardly remove the trees when I got them home. And I was very dissapointed when I tried them on and they were loose on my feet. These shoes should have lasted me ten to twenty years with the right care, but, now they are un-wearable. I called this store and spoke with the manager. I was polite when I called and explained that I felt my shoes are damaged and that Shoe Lab should refund the $40. He would not refund my money or deal with me in any way and he totally and rudely denied any responsibility for ruining my $500 loafers. Beware of Shoe Lab!!!! Bad business practices and lack of professionalism.
Cons: workmanship, professionalism, and customer care
