Outstanding food. Pricey as would be expected. All meals are excellent from what I have seen. This place is not cheap, (not terrible either) - but you get large portions. Order a few sides. I suggest getting the cheaper (about $20) fish entrees and then getting a few sides. You wil not be able to eat everything. The chief cook is very talented. Went with my parents for an anniversary. My mother is a total food snob, has been trained in Paris on cooking, and will complain about anything. She was impressed. This is not a place which will make you wait around for hours for a table, and then want you to buy drinks until then. This is a top-grade *restaurant*. If you want a bar, right next door is Brown Bar where you can wait. Also a good place - and not too expensive. Perhaps the best place in Austin to eat. I have been to Vespiao which everyone raves about (a different fare of course) - but i would say this is better food - and also a better deal. Pros: outstanding fine dining.
