t'he last mimzy'...was written by two of the most highly regarded science fiction writers of the 1940s, C.L.Moore and her husband, Henry Kuttner. Together they wrote under the pen name of Lewis Padgett. Now 55 years later, it's been updated to have a contemporary look, but the story remains intact. The teacher in the movie is not the best role model. For instance, he lives with his fiance'. Messages most mysterious, tho they come from the far future offices of 'intel', are also housed in diagrams and symbols of mystics religions from India instead of Einstein's theories of time travel expounded with highlights. Outside of that, it's a pretty gosh darn entertaining film. [Note: Mimzy is no E.T. But then, Mimzy was written 40 some years earlier.] Pros: Good entertainment Cons: Mimzy is no E.T. But then, but Mimzy was written in 1942, way way long before E.T.
