I have been in the market for a while now to get a new car. My lease was due on my Honda and I really wanted to get a sports car this time, and my heart was set on a new Chevy Camaro Convertible. I have bought a car over the Internet before and had an idea of what to expect. I requested a quote from 3 dealers. Penske Chevrolet, George Chevrolet, (who I was referred to from friends that have done business with them) and Martin Chevrolet. Right away I got a quote from both Penske and George and I never heard from Martin. Pretty sad because I live in the south bay and would of really like to have purchased local. Anyway the price I got from Penske was a lot lower then from George. I got a phone call from both, but the phone rang from Betty at George Chevrolet within 10 minutes of me putting in my request. Granted I have never bought a Chevy before but I was impressed by how fast they contacted me. Betty was really nice and asked me some questions and eventually set up a time for me to come down and test drive the car. I was not able to do it that day so we set up a time to come down on Saturday. Well, in the mean time the quote I got from Penske that was WAY lower then George. I decided to go their cause I thought for that kind of a savings why not. I should have known it was too good to be true. Being a woman I felt like they tired the old ""bait and switch"" When I talked to them on the phone they told me that they had exactly what I wanted and the price was good, but when I got there of course they told me that the car just sold and they tried to sell me a used one. I mean REALLY! They would not let it go either, they told me that my credit was not good enough to buy a new one and the only way I could get a car was to buy a used one. I have over a 700 fico score and now I felt insulted. I mean talk about treating a woman shopper like an idiot. I really don't like buying a car like the rest of the world but I am not stupid. To make a long story short they really made me feel like crap and did everything they could to sell me what they wanted me to buy and not what I wanted to buy. After a huge waste of time I went home. Penske told me that I would never find the car that I wanted because there and none left and I would never find a better price. The next day Betty called me to confirm out appointment and I told her what had happen to me at Penske. (I felt a little guilty of course) She told me not to worry and that is not the first time that she had heard this. She told me that she did not have exactly what I wanted but she could get it for me and promised me that it would be a great experience if I gave her a shot. She was so nice I decided to go and I am SO GLAD I DID! Talk about an amazing experience! She did everything she said she would. She got the car that I wanted, a 2011 SS Camaro Convertible the price was great and the customer service was the best ever! I paid a little more then I was told by the other dealer but it was worth every penny especially considering that the other place could not even deliver on their promise. I will tell you this, if you want a great experience and a great deal get a hold of Betty at George Chevrolet. Screw Penske! Sure on paper they said they had the lower price, but in reality they were just ""blowing smoke"" and a typical low life, scum bag dealer. Thank you Betty and thank you George Chevrolet the best car buying experience I have ever had! By the way I LOVE MY NEW CAR!!!!!!
