Review content:
this has to be my longest-standing favorite in los angeles. i may be caucasian, but i know a good burrito from a bad one, and i need REAL spice - not watered-down - and king taco really knows how to pack a punch! i've tried copying their recipes for both rice and salsa roja, but no can do. the beans aren't laden in lard, which is good for us vegetarians. bring a spanish speaker, though, or else they might make some order mishaps (at least, this is the case at the maywood location). the ambience is not ""superb,"" but don't forget that before king taco became a chain, it WAS a taco stand! love the fact that they use queso anejo rather than monterey or cheddar.
Pros: comida muy buena, cheap, totally casual
Cons: sparse locations, order mishaps, long lines at times
