I have been going to Dr. Dewitt since I was a baby practically. My parents and I have put our faith and trust in the hands of this man....and I wish we hadn't!! I had my wisdom teeth out, very late in life, about a year ago by Dr. Dewitt and he did the procedure and took x-rays and cleaned and the whole thing that you usually do when you visit the dentist. He never told me at this appointment that I had any cavities or needed any work done at all. So I think that my teeth are healthy....you know, that's what you would think, right? So, my boyfriend's mother is a dental assistant in another city in the metroplex, and she was going to make me a bleaching tray. So she was looking at my teeth with the little camera thing and I could see my teeth from the TV that was on the wall. She totally freaked out and asked me when the last time it was since I was at the dentist. Well, I told her it was less that a year ago because I had my wisdom teeth taken out. She didn't believe me and said that I had so much DECAY in my teeth that they were gray, every single one in the back!! Ok, so my teeth are decomposing in my mouth, and my dentist, who I trusted, is just letting it happen. So, I had a consultation with my NEW dentist and he tells me everything that they are going to have to do and how much this is going to cost my parents...a LOT by the way. And while my new dentist is drilling away at my decaying teeth, he says that this has been going on for like ten years or longer. And I don't remember the last time I had a cavity when I was going to Dr. Dewitt. So needless to say, I will NEVER be going back to see this man, and he lost a LOT of money and a family of very loyal patients. So, I guess this tells you how this ""Dr"" likes to run his business. I figure now that his strategy is to let his patient?s teeth fill with decay until they need a root canal. Wow, what a good way to treat your patients!! Pros: He is a very nice man.... Cons: He may need to go back to Dentistry school or learn to pay more attention.
