As an adult, I still have childhood memories of the spare ribs from Hackenmeullers in Robbinsdale. We lived on Yates Ave. N, and from our house, it was a short walk over there - down to the end of the street and across the highway.
It has been 50+ years since we left and to this day, I remember their spare ribs! None has ever risen to meet the flavor and quality of what they served. I have heard that the business has changed hands since then but that the ribs are just as great as they were back then!
Soon I will be moving back into the area, and am looking forward to taking my daughter with me to share in the great memories I've had all these years of Hackenmeuller's.
