My eager 12 year old, a budding [or at least interested] Sax student, wanted to graduate from alto to tenor Sax, so we called them: $50/month for rent-to-own, which seemed good way to go, since who knows how long his interest would last. Went there, salesman saw how eager my boy was: $50/month for rent-to-own. My boy excitedly followed sales guy to see instrument - his excitement was clear to all. Other guy chimes in, ""yeah, they're $65-$75/month, RTO."" Hm; price growing. Filled out paperwork, all staff now standing aroung, curiously interested in this matter. Now it has gone to firm $75/month. Hm! But filled out paperwork anyway. I asked how much the Sax is, if the first year goes to purchase. Told it was $899.00. I commented that that seems very reasonable; boy's eagerness clear to all. Another person whispers to person handling our matter, and he then scratched out the $899.00 and inserted $1499! Then I blew, and told them they had the wrong chump, tore up paperwork, and left, my boy's eagerness squelched! That place is a bait-and-switch fraud. We suspect they were all crowding around because they had a bet about which one of them could pull off the next scam. I am the wrong one to scam, especially about my son's eagerness. Quite the wrong one. That place is one of the few places around to serve the growing numbers of kids who want to get into music, so I wonder how many others have been thus defrauded. Utter Dirtbags! Pros: Wide selection Cons: Dishonest Dirtbags
