Review content:
I agree that they aren't ALL the friendliest bunch on the planet. I had the same experience with a ""higher end"" consignment shop in Houston. Maybe when you're snooty you can charge a bit more! That being said, I consigned with them for the first time this winter and did well. They were upfront about the brands they wouldn't accept. That was fine as I had Justice, Limited Too, American Eagle, etc. Quite a few items still had tags. As for the other things they wouldn't take, I just accept it. It's THEIR store and they know what sells. I had tried selling the more expensive items at a kids consignment we had at my daughter's school and most people there weren't willing to pay a little more for better brands. The people who shop at Red Door EXPECT a better quality product. So, I use more than one store to consign clothes. BTW, they do have great end of season sales and Dollar Days. I find them to be quite creative. If you want cheap, go to a garage sale.
