I almost did not get an inspection because the home was new, of course passed code enforcement inspections, and the builder had a great reputation. a friend talked me into hiring Inspector Paul, he is not only the best inspector in Charlotte, he's clearly one of the best in the world. The deck was not properly secured to the home andat risk of collapse. Sveral engineered roof trusses were damaged and had no repairs, he also reported that with the type of foundation it was basically impossible to anchor the home to the foundation. Of course the builder disagreed, but Inspector Paul had so much supporting information that it was easy to see that Inspector Paul was right on the money. If you are thinking of buying a home in the Charlotte, NC or Fort Mill , SC area hiring Inspector Paul before you buy is thebest decision you can eve make. He saved us from tens thousands of dollars in unforseen repairs and prevented us from buying a nightmare.
