Review content:
My 2 year-old daughter spilled some milk on our comtemporary sofa cushions which was purchased last year from a mid to high-end local furniture store. I had to take out the foam pad and interior liner out of the zippered cushion fabric to treat all components to prevent soured milk smell and stains.
After treating the fabric, I couldn't get the foam pad and interior liner back into the cushion fabric without there being some minor bumps of the baffled liner. So I sought assistance with Upholstery Shop based on their longevity in business in order to get the cushions into a smooth state.
Called them and spoke to Will and described my problem. He said it didn't sound like a problem and to bring the cushions in.
When I arrived Will was not there and instead spoke to a fellow who listened to my issue. Upon hearing this story he started going into a wide-eyed diatribe about how some furniture is a mazda and some is a ferrari. And how some furniture is a straight vodka and some is mixed drink.
He then started going down a verbal path about the type of furniture they produce which is decidedly traditional and that the cushions would be better stiffer and fuller. This was the exact opposite of what I requested and that we were discussing. I reiterated my need to not make the cushions stiffer and to work with what was there and that it simply need to be reinstalled with an installers knowledge rather than my non-installers hands. He just couldn't get his head around my request or they were unwilling to try.
Obviously they are not flexible in the range of furniture repair assistance they can provide.
