A year ago my cat was dying and MVAH was open but they would not see him. Apparently they have enough business because they didn't seem to care about my cat or that I was going to go elsewhere. Dr. Dass-Hillard is a nice person and a good veterinarian, but I think treating animals is her job not her passion. When I called VCA Animal Hospital in Covington it was late in the day, but they saw my cat right away and were amazing in their care and empathy. They did surgery the next day and saved his life. Yes, VCA is a company with locations all over the country (several in western WA), but they have an independent clinic approach to their business (how they treated me and my cat). And, in an emergency, I can get in any time they are open. All of the doctors, techs and front desk staff at VCA are attentive, patient, and compassionate. MV Animal Hospital has lost my business. I now take all three of my pets to VCA.
