Review content:
The building housing The Isles is impressive, but its cavernous interior does not make for an intimate dining experience. It is as if it were designed with the acoustics of a concert hall. Everything said at every table reverberates across the room creating a cacophony that leaves one unable to concentrate on anything besides leaving. The service was sub par, especially for what one would expect for a restaurant in this price range. After taking our order our halfhearted waiter only made one more appearance to make sure that we had everything we needed his tone of voice implying that he would not be back. The food was actually pretty good but not good enough to make up for an otherwise very disappointing anniversary dinner.
