South Beach Active is located on Alton road where Golds Gym used to be. I went in here to sign up and was pretty shocked when they told me it would be $200 for the month. ummm are you absolutely insane? While the facility is nice and quite roomy why would I pay $50 a month before, and now that the name is changed it's $200, really? I would compare this gym on the same level or one notch above Crunch in the $50-$70 /month level. David Barton gym and Equinox gym which are the 2 best gyms on the beach and they do not even charge close to $200 for a month. They charge half that and are 100xs nicer and more exclusive. I really don't know who would sign up here. I wound up signing up at Flamingo Gym (Formerly David Barton) 1 block away, for $50 per month, w all the classes for no extra charge. Well, I tried giving you guys my business, sorry you didn't want it.
