Review content:
Monument Sanitation District has poor customer service and no heart. When I was only $3 short (because they raised their fees) on my monthly payment that is sent in EARLY and Automatically every month they charged me a $2 late fee. I called to explain to them that my grandparent had passed away and I was out of town for a week and missed the notice in the mail because my husband most likely tossed the bill in the trash knowing that it gets paid automatically every month. They still refused to make a onetime late fee adjustment when only $3 of my bill had been late and was sent in on the following months bill. It is also a bit sad that with all of the companies trying to ""go green"" and allowing customers to help by choosing email notices instead of ""snail mail""? notices to reduce paper waste, they can't get up to speed in the year 2010. I hope you have a better experience with them but until then I can't wait for a new company to manage our sanitation. I worked in customer service for many years and would never treat a customer the way I was treated. The manager was not a good listener; instead he cut me off while I was talking. I can't remember the last time someone made me feel as unvalued as a customer. Maybe they feel they can treat people this way because we have no other option to turn to for sanitation services. Sad. Cons: Raise fees every year, customer service is poor
