Shiki is a great place for some good sushi in Durham. I still love Penang in Chapel Hill for the food (worse service imagineable), but Shiki Sushi does it up right. They offer the buy one get one free every night for dine-in orders only, which is a great deal on paper. But the rolls you'll pay for are expensive and you still get taxed on the free ones. Nonetheless, I love Shiki and don't go there enough. They have really catered to a clientele of people wanting to come in, sit down, and order quickly...all while sitting in a great atmosphere with earthy tones. They remodeled awhile back and the new atmosphere is awesome with the HDTVs and all, so your husband/boyfriend/girlfriend won't miss the game. Also, they are going to expand soon in the space next door, so there will be even more room for them to make that fabulous sushi! Try the special yellowtail roll with white tuna or the VOLCANO ROLL (my favorite!). Definitely visit if you haven't already.
