This place has been here forever, according to our neighbors. We have just moved here from the east and were unsure about 'California Italian'. This restaurant is different from all the trendy Cal-Ital (as we call them) places around town. It is the real Italian food we were raised on. The ambiance is old-world Italian restaurant - just like home! Really busy on weekends, We also ate here mid-week and got a table no problem. The menu is huge, making it a little hard to decide what to eat. I had Chicken Parmigiana once and the special Chicken Ceasar (not a salad, some sort of sauce w/brandy) and it was FABULOUS! My husband had lasagna the first time, and then a chicken dish with artichokes and prawns. He loved them both. The prices are right where they should be. You could order a $12.00 pasta or a $20 Cioppino. It's pretty casual inside. There were people in jeans, and others were dressed up. Pros: Friendly, Easy parking, Tons of choices Cons: Suggest calling ahead for table
