If you're thinking about attending this school, think again. I'm an ex-student of this school and from personal experience I can say they're a complete rip-off. Don't let their kidness fool you, it's all a lie. They lure you in with nice comments and uplifting advice and encouragement, but once you become a student, don't expect any answers. In the beginning they tell you that you're aloud ot miss a certain amount of school, but they fail to let you know that your holidays where the school is closed and you're forced to take the day off, effect your hours. Pretty much when you sign their contract, you sign your soul over to them, and your wallet. Everything costs money. Not to mention you hardly learn anything at the school and the teachers are hardly helpful. I attended this school for 1250 hours before I went over my contract, and some hours I might not have even missed. Their clock in system malfunctions sometimes and locks people out of the system so you're not sure if you clocked in or not to get your hours. They have a nifty book where you write down your clock in times to back it up, but that doesn't matter because after 2 weeks, they won't fix those hours for you. If you do make the mistake to join this school, don't miss a single day for any reason what-so-ever because they will charge you for it, whether you choose to attend for your remaining hours or not. The second you try to fight for anything, you'll be dropped or refused for re-enrollement. There was another student I knew who wanted some answers and finally got fed up with putting her name on the board to be seen and getting called in two weeks later only to not find answers. She stepped up and told the director to do her job. That same day they dropped her from the program, cut the locks to her locker and called the police on her to escort her of the campus. Another fellow student had a mother in-and out of the hospital. This student had signed up with me to do a fashion show the school holds annually. Unfortunately her mother was admitted to the hospital and she had to miss. The director was extremely rude about her dropping from the fashion show and pulled guilt trips on her saying things like ""Well my mom was in the hospital before to and i went anyway"" My enrollment cost me $19,000 when i signed up, they have recently changed their enrollment to $25,000. Now they're trying to charge me an extra $10,000 just to be considered for re-enrollment. Not to mention through out school, you have to buy a lot of your own supplies. So in reality this school could cost you well more than what you're expecting. It's not a good experience. Don't be like me and do your research before you sign ANYTHING. You're better off paying more to go to paul mitchell, or even marinello. They know what they're doing, Salon Success does not. Ha. salon success, more like Salon Failure.
