When i first discovered Wasa in the Tustin Marketplace i was truly happy but when i asked where the executive chef was and was told that he works the sushi bar at this location i had to try it. My friend recommended that i sit at the sushi bar and just let the chef do his Omakase thing, which is a custom made tasting menu. it was the best I've had for as long as i can remember. he made dishes that weren't on the menu but deserve to be. i had to buy a round for James (the chef) and he told me about yet another restaurant project named after him, ""HAMAMORI."" it's supposed to be an exclusive, high-end, fine dining Japanese sushi restaurant so I'm definitely gonna try it. in the mean time I'm gonna make my rounds to each of the Wasa stores and get my weekly fix of Omega-3's from Toro & Salmon sushi. Pros: Executive Chef Hamamori Cons: small space... but very intimate
