Review content:
Dining at Hokusai is sense-satifsying. Though dark and cozy, spotlights make it easy to see food and each other, and high ceilings make it seem larger. The ladies room is beautiful. The staff is attractive, knowledgeable and energetic. I have food allergies, and the chef took it in stride to create beautiful dishes instead of just limiting my choices. I had salad, a variety of sushi, foie gras with eggplant, seared beef sushi style, a perfect cosmo and red bean cheesecake (half a serving is enough). Each dish was complete, delicately flavored and scented, with contrasting textures and sauces. It was an entertaining and energizing dining experience.
