We ate there last Friday. I hadn't been to the new place in Fremont, and I have to say I was taken a little aback when I first entered. I was used to the cozy little Wallingford place, and this was way swankier. After a minute though, I was over my shock and began to really like the new digs with it's copper bar and soft tuscan wood textures. My boyfriend ate the salssicia, just like the old place, it was about the best pasta I''ve ever had. I tried the pork salmon special, and it was perfect, nice and medium rare ( I hate overcooked fish). Our friends got the mixed grill. Steak, pork, chicken and polenta and greens. It was enough for an army and all plattered up family style. They were quite selfish so I only got a little polenta. Next time we're going for that deal. For dessert we shared the carmelized pear bread pudding, Whoa... it was out of this world! WOW! With some kind of bourbon sauce, Yummy! I'm definitely a fan of the new Asteroid! Pros: food, service, ambiance, wine selection Cons: hard to find, tucked into big building
