We originally discovered this bakery by attending a birthday party for my daughter's classmate. The party was hugely popular with all the girls -- they decorated cookies with lots of different candy, and ate a ton of the decorations in the process. There was a birthday cake made of cupcakes, and luckily there was enough left for the grownups. Unlike the cake we've had at every birthday party, this was not only edible but actually fantastic. We've been back several times since, and have never been disappointed. The cupcake flavors seem to change each time, and so far I've tried the Strawberry, Key Lime, Red Velvet and Nutella Fudge. My daughter always gets the vanilla, and she loves it. I signed her up for a rodeo cookie decorating class here that sounds like a lot of fun. We've also tried the cookies, and my favorites are the PBJ and Mudslide. My one criticism is that it's hard to find for the first time -- we met some friends here and they kept driving up and down Westheimer until I finally had to go outside to flag them down. Now that I know where it is, though, I feel like one of the lucky insiders. I highly recommend this family-friendly local bakery for both kids and grown-ups. Pros: Great desserts, lots of fun for kids Cons: Can be hard to find
