Review content:
I went to E&J in Berkeley at 7:20 on Saturday. The time to get my food was 35+ minutes. That seems way too much considering this is take out and all the food is already cooked. They only have 4 entree items and they were out of brisket. That is very poor planning when a major item is gone that early. I asked for the four way. They weren't willing to substitute another item to replace the brisket.
The only side is potato salad. I asked for two servings but only got one. It was very ""vinegary"" and covered in barbecue sauce. Their website menu shows more choices. I guess that menu is for the Jack London site but the website doesn't say that.
The ribs were very fatty and the chicken was dry. The portions were small for the price.
I was very disappointed in this place. Not recommended.
