I've been taking my Camry to Mike Miller Toyota for about six years. I drop it off regularly for an oil change (cheaper than Jiffy Lube or the like if you use the coupons MM Toyota sends you in the mail). They always do a diagnostic on the car while it's in for the oil change and let me know if anything else needs fixing. My car is getting really old, so it often needs to have things replaced or adjusted. I always ask the service guys if that fix they're recommending *really* needs doing or if I can put it on the backburner for a while. I've always found them to be pretty frank about what needs to be done and what can wait, and I pick and choose my repairs from there.
