When renting from them, they were disrespectful during the initial inspection, speaking to my father, who gave me a ride there since I didn?t have my car with me at the time instead of to me (I rented and paid for the place myself, and don?t live with my parents). The place was nasty when I moved in, the counters were grimy and the place smelled like mold. The toilet was badly damaged and about to break open, and the hot water didn?t work when I moved in. The landlord failed to mention to me that I had to call the electric company to start the electric billing process, I nearly encored late fees there, but I remembered on my own to do it. Three times during my six month stay there they attempted to get me charged with late fees citing problems processing my check at the last minute, forcing me to re-write the check and incur a late fee for being a day late. Twice they actually got the late fee out of me. After the second time I paid the last few months rent up front, they had a problem with that check as well, which I rewrote on the spot and there were no further problems with the rent. After I moved out I cleaned the place all afternoon, leaving it spotless (my girlfriend and I worked hard on it), and I was scheduled for a move out inspection in person (they insisted on doing it themselves but I insisted otherwise), they never showed up. They ended up doing it without me anyway and then I called in to check and they said I would get all of my rent money back, I got a check for almost fifth of my deposit, and got the runaround from them when I called to ask what happened, they cited some corporate line about having to clean the place since I?d only lived there six months and charging it to my deposit.
Pros: spacious apartments, right next to the train station (MAX)
Cons: very pour management, takes every chance to get money out of you, doesnt fix problems.
