I had a situation with a large rodent (judging by the sound) that I was certain had gotten into one of my cupboards. I had a pest control service for 5 years which was virtually unavailable to me between Friday and Monday. I did an online search for anyone in my area. Aggressive was the first to respond. They were available on Saturday and met me at my home (I was hiding out in a hotel) within an hour of my distress call. Their technician had already surveyed the outer perimeter of my property by the time I arrived; which he did again while I was there -- foundation and roof lines. He then went into the kitchen and pulled appliances away from the wall, searched cabinets and assured me that no animal had breached my perimeters. However, after going into the crawl space, he did inform me that it looked as if I may have a couple rats. It looked like they had crawled into the downdraft of my stove and that's what I was hearing in the direction of the cupboards. He baited and told me I would hear a few more sounds for perhaps one or two more days, then nothing. Within 48 hours -- no sounds and the company called back twice to make certain I felt secure that the problem had been properly taken care of. They made one more appearance to check the bait stations and give me a report on the amount of activity. No pressure to buy or sign a contract. They are willing to appear as (in)frequently as I desire. They are more thorough and less expensive than the service I had patronized for 5 years. They will get my repeat business.
