Review content:
Most of the reviewers are understandably confused as to why the staff is so miserable. A good start at an answer is that they are obviously allowed to be. There is no way a business that is based on customer service could allow its employees to be so unfriendly and uncooperative after so many years, unless of course the store's profit were irrelevant to the owner. You may ask ""how is that possible?"" You mightve noticed that the store itself actually makes up very little of the grounds. Behind the store is one of the largest hobby merchandise and supplies in the world, though you might not think it. They are in fact the sole US distributor of Trumpeter models, a popular German model maker. The warehouse is the real money maker, the store is merely a ""front"" that enables the owner to locate his business at its current (presumably cheap) location. The residents of the area protested the business being allowed to stay in their neighborhood so the owner set up the store strictly for the purpose of maintaining the location.
As a result, the store profits, and consequently customer satisfaction is of no importance whatsoever. This also means that unfortunately the store will never go out of business.
Also people ask if the staff is so unhappy doing what they do why do it? As a fellow miserable person I can tell you they are truly miserable people at their core. And what better place to be employed than one that pays you to be miserable and rude?
tips if you find yourself forced to return there:
Brett: is very knowledgable about WWII vehicles, and rc cars...though not the friendliest even at his best he will warm to you if share his interests.
Steve: a real prick, but if you slip music playing in the conversation it MAY help
old broad: no idea, as far as i know nothing will help you with her. she is to be avoided at all costs
