Review content:
I would like to say first that I loved diving with these guys. The Dive Masters and Instructors are great. They spend a great deal of time making sure that you are squared away and having a good safe dive. The prices for the diving were very reasonable. What I am upset about is their customer service in regards to a purchase. I spent 2k on equipment there. Fins, boots, mask, BC, Regulator, Dive computer, bag and certification cost. When I took my new regulator out it had an issue with free flowing easily and having an issue getting it to stop. Even the instructor said this was odd and that my regulator is malfunctioning.
The regulator they had given me was the display but still new (no discount). I understand they did not have one to replace it with at the time but the lady behind the counter refused to even do so even if they had. She also refused to take it back and mail me a new one when it came in or have it shipped to my house. She told me to take it with me and have it serviced through the warranty when I got back home. The instructor that I was with even said to the lady that he has never heard of a shop that wouldn't stand behind a product that was just bought and replace it. I too was very dumbstruck.
My advice to everyone is dive with these guys but don?t buy anything important from them. I hope this lady (Skinny, Blonde wore blue bikini) was wrong. If you?re the owner please respond and clearly state your position on this. I ended up having to take this to a dive shop in Houston. The tech said that one of the stages was putting out to much pressure. I ended up having to pay 10 buck for labor, (no big deal), but it is something that I shouldn?t have had to deal with.
They should have taken the issue up with the manufacture and gotten me a new regulator that worked even if it meant ordering it and having it shipped to my house since I was leaving in a couple of day. That would have been good customer service. Just to reiterate, I highly recommend these guys for diving with, but discourage or warn you against buying any equipment that is important from them.
